Abstract

The laboratory and field experiment were conducted during kharif 2013 at VNMKV, Parbhani for the evaluation of antibacterial chemicals against Bacterial leaf spot of grape caused by Xanthomonas campestris pv. Viticola. In laboratory studies it was revealed that among the various antibacterial chemicals tested treatment T5-Copper oxychloride (300ppm) plus Streptocycline (100ppm) produced significantly highest inhibition zone of 19.66 mm, followed by treatment T5-Streptocycline 1-100ppm. In field experiment, among the antibacterial chemicals sprayed lowest mean disease severity of 26.89 per cent was recorded by treatment T5-Copper oxychloride plus Streptocycline and this reduced disease to an extend of 47.02 percent. This was followed by treatment T1-Streptocycline (PDI 28.82) and T6-Bacterinol-100 (PDI 29.78) with reduction in disease to an extend of 40.36 and 36.82 per cent respectively.
