Genetic Variability, Heritability and Character Association in Tomato (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill)

In F₁ and F₂ generations high heritability estimates were recorded for fruit per plant and plant height. In F₃ highest genetic advance was recorded for fruit yield, primary branches and fruit length while in F₂ generation fruit yield and fruit length. Significant values for phenotypic correlation were observed in 13 out of 21 combinations in F₁ generation while for genotypic correlation in 14 combination out of 21 were significant in F₂ generation.
