Present work deals with the preparation and characterisation of complexes of Co(II) Ni(II), Mn(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) dinitrophenates with benezofuro-2-carboxy-phenyl thiosemicarbazide and benzofuro-2-carboxy [4’-chlorophenyl) thiosemicarbazideligands. The structure of newly prepared metal complexes were established with elemenatal analysis, magnetic, spectral and electrolytes conductance studies. The prepare complexes and ligands were also screened for their antifungal and antimicrobial studies. Transition metal complexes formed by Schiff bases have been amongst the most widely studied coordination compound. Thiosemicarbazones and their complexes shows agreat variety of biological activity (24–29).
