Tuberose (Polianthes tuberosa Linn.) is one of the topmostloose flower having high demandin domestic as well as international markets. Postharvest handing of loose tuberose flowers isvery essential in order to enhance the shelf life and their keeping quality. A study was conductedduring 2020-2021to standardize preservatives for enhancing shelf life of loose flowers oftuberose floret cv. Arka Prajwal. In the present study flowers treated with boric acid 4% andpacked in muslin cloth bag (C3P2) were found to be the best with regard to maximum shelflife, moisture content, floret diameterand minimum respiration rate under both ambient andcold storage conditions. The minimum physiological loss in weight (PLW) was found in sametreatment combination under cold storage.
