The present work deals with the synthesis of mixed ligand complexes of Cu(II) with dibasic tridentate Schiff bases derived by the condensation of thiosemicarbazides with acetoacetanilide and o-chloro-acetoacetanilide as primary and l-hydroxy-2-naphthoic and 3-hydroxy-2-naphthoic as co-ligand.. The complexes were characterized on the basis of their elemental analysis, magnetic, spectral and electrolytic conductance study. Different ligand field parameters were also calculated. Cu (II) complexes and ligand were also screened for their antifungal activity against different fungi strains viz- Drechlera tetramera, Alternaria alternate and Fusarium oxysporum.
