Abstract

An experiment was conducted to evaluate the influence of biofertilizers and micronutrients on growth, flowering and yield of strawberry cv. Chandler having ten treatments with thrice replicated in Randomized Block Design at Allahabad during winter, 2009–2010. The treatment T7-VAM@12kg1+Azotobacter@10kg ha−1 was found to be statistically significant than other treatment. This treatment has recorded highest plant height (27.69cm), plant spread (36.12cm), petiole length (10.18cm), number of leaves plant−1 (16.66), number of flower plant −1 (38.8), number of fruits plant−1 (29.13), fruit yield plant−1 (417.73g), fruit yield ha−1 (37.59 tonnes) as well as highest cost benefit ratio (1:3.21). Thus, it can be concluded that strawberry growth, flowering and yield can be increased with the application of biofertilizers and micronutrients.
