Abstract

The genetic diversity among ten papaya genotypes were investigated using five RAPD primers. DNA was extracted by CTAB method. The banding pattern was analyzed using UPGMA based on Jaccard's coefficient. All RAPD primers showed polymorphism. The dendrogram revealed two distinct clusters. Cluster I includes two genotypes which were introduced in India from other countries and having pink flesh. The PIC value for the RAPD loci ranged from 0.16 to 0.76.
