Abstract

The present experiment was carried out during 2009–12 at farm nursery of the department of Horticulture, CCSHAU Hisar. The ber seedling were raised in the nursery bed and poly bags in the month of April and T budding was done during 4th week of June, 2nd & 4th week of July and 2nd week of August. Minimum time for bud sprouting (20.8) was taken in seedlings budded during 4th week of June in nursery beds. It was observed that the seedlings raised in nursery beds gave maximum bud sprouting (75%) when the budding was done during last week of July followed by budding during 2nd week of August with 60% bud sprouting. However, maximum survival (100%) was recorded in polybags planted during 4th week of July and 2nd week of August. Maximum shoot length (26.8cm) was recorded in seedling budded during 4th week of July in nursery beds.
