Abstract

In order to evaluate the survival percentage and time consumed to propagate mango plants under different techniques of vegetative propagation, an experiment was conducted at Horticultural Research Centre of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology, Meerut (U.P) during the year 2008 and 2009. The results obtained from the experiment indicated that out ofthree techniques ofpropagation, the maximum survival percentage (82%) was recorded in veneer grafting performed in July. However, Epicotyl grafting was found to be most time saving technique for vegetative propagation as it took minimum time to propagate mango plants.
