Abstract

The present study was carried out at Institute of pesticide formulation technology, Gurgaon during 2008–09 and 2009–10 to study of different doses of emamectin benzoate 5% WSG against brinjal fruit and shoot borer. Result indicates that a significant reduction in % fruit of infestation was recorded under all the treatment doses when compared with untreated control. However, among the treatment Emamectin Benzoate 5% WSG@ 13 g a.i./ha recorded significant reduction in fruit infestation as compared to its lower doses viz. Emamectin Benzoate 5% WSG@ 5, 7 and 9 g a.i./ha. It was also found that Emamectin Benzoate 5% WSG@ 7, 9, and 11 g a.i./ha was statistically at par in reducing % fruit infestation. The study recommended the use of emamectin benzoate for effective control of brinjal fruit and shoot borer.
