Abstract

A field experiment was conducted at Horticulture Garden of the Department of Horticulture, Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur in the year 2014–15. The experiment was laid out in Randomized Block Design with ten treatments in each replication consisting of three levels of each growth regulator i.e. GA3 at 10, 20, 30 ppm, NAA at 20, 25, 30 ppm and 2, 4-D at 5, 10, 15 ppm. The observations were recorded on ten characters viz., plant height (cm), number of primary branches per plant, number of secondary branches per plant, number of flowers per plant, number of fruits per plant, diameter of fruit (cm), fruit yield per plant (g) and fruit yield per hectare (q). The results were showed that the combinatorial use of GA3 NAA and 2, 4-D at specific concentration (GA3 at 30 ppm, NAA at 30 ppm and 2, 4-D at 5 ppm) considerably increase the weight of fruit and significantly increases total yield up to 523 q/h.
