Varietal Evaluation of Tuberose For Batter Performance in Saharanpur District Under Western Plain Zone

Abstract

A field experiment was conducted on the Varietal evaluation of Tuberose in Saharanpur District for batter Performance in 2014 and 2015. The experiment was jointly organized Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Saharanpur with Directorate of Floriculture Research Institute Pune Maharastra. The study revealed that the Prajwal and Arka niranter Varieties perform batter in Comparison to other varieties. Prajwal & Arka niranter Varieties was at par highest length of spike (110.50 cm & 109.50 cm) rachis Length (31.00 cm and 30.50 cm) number of Florate (59.50 and 57 cm) and diameter of Spike (12.85 and 12.65 mm) and minimum spike length(81 cm), rachis length (21 cm), number Florate (43), diameter of spike (4.85 mm) in Sikkim Selection. The Performance of Varieties Prajwal & Arka niranter is Significantly batter in Comparison to varieties Sikkim Selection and Others.
