Abstract

Field experiments were conducted during season of 2015 and 2016 at experimental research farm of Institute of Pesticide Formulation Technology, Gurgaon, India. Thifluzamide 24% SC @ 600ml/ha and 500 ml/ha was evaluated for two seasons against early blight of tomato variety Pusa Ruby. Thifluzamide 24% SC at all the doses including the highest dose did not show any sort of phytotoxicity symptoms Viz., leaf injury on tips/surface, necrosis, wilting, epinasty, hyponasty and vein clearing etc., on the crop during the testing period hence found non phytotoxic to the crop during both seasons. Since there was no significant difference in Thifluzamide 24% SC @ 600ml/ha and 500 ml/ha. Thifluzamide 24% SC @ 500 ml/ha is suggested for the control of the early Blight disease of Tomato crop. The highest yield was recorded in Thifluzamide 24% SC @ 600 ml/ha seed followed by Thifluzamide 24% SC @ 500 ml/ha during both seasons. Lowest yield recorded in untreated control.
