Background and Objective: Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) have become a global public health problem, which risk the lives of people in subcontinent and India. People who have a sedentary lifestyle are at risk of NCDs because of the stressful and sedentary nature of their work. The study was conducted to study the socio-demographic characteristics of the patients visiting the BPHC and to determine the prevalence and associated factors that are the cause for NCDs. Method:A cross-sectional study was conducted among the patients visiting the BPHC. Hundred patients were selected by purposive sampling. The subjects were then interviewed by using a predesigned, pretested and semi-structured interview schedule for socio-demographic data and health check-up was done to find out the status of NCD. Discussion:The study revealed that about 28% of the study population belonged to the age group of 51–60 years, the association with BMI and hypertension was established. Conclusion:Non-communicable diseases and preventing complications and catastrophic events will be the major goals of clinical medicine.
