Background:Respiratory infections are prevalent worldwide and are directly responsible for morbidity and a significant proportion of mortality, especially in children. The most common respiratory conditions include acute respiratory tract infections, asthma, pneumonia and bronchitis. Results:The study result in experimental Group I, the pretest mean score and standard deviation was 5.04 and p-value 0.063 and at 45 min mean score was 7.20,SD 3.80 and p-value less than 0.001. In experimental Group II, the pretest mean score was 19.76, SD 6.55, p-value 0,012 and p-value 0.000. Conclusion:Hence, the study was concluded that nebulisation with oxygen was effective when comparing with nebulisation without oxygen in reducing respiratory distress among children.
