The study was aimed at to know the farm details, livestock possession, employment opportunities and migration status of farmers in Palacode block of Dharmapuri district in Tamil Nadu. A total of 30 respondents were selected and interviewed using a well-structured and pretested interview schedule. In addition to percentage analysis cumulative frequency and multiple regressions were done. Majority of the respondents belonged to the old age category and were illiterate; had construction as their primary occupation; majority had medium level of agricultural experience; had high level of adoption of migration. They had adopted migration for the reasons like lack of employment opportunities and education, child marriage etc. They were landless thus resorting to migration. To check migration there was need to create more job opportunities and create awareness about agriculture and self-employment opportunities.
