The pot studies are very important part of allelopathy research. There are different methods of pot cultures for allelopathy investigations. Several methodological problems and conditioning are outlined, which must be met to obtain credible evidences, confirming the allelopathy phenomena in the ecosystem. Attention has been called to the aspects which should be considered in planning and conduct of experiments. The obtained results should be interpreted with extreme caution.
