Simple crop rotations and the use of excessive agrochemicals in agriculture has lead to the changes in physico-chemical and biological properties of soil, adversely influencing the plant development and decreased the crops yield. This phenomenon is known an soil sickness. This review describes the factors responsible for the soil sickness.
