Extracts (10% w/v) from leaves and fruits of A. canescens were obtained and diluted with distilled water to obtain a concentration of 5, 10, 15,20 and 25%. The effects of the extracts in different concentrations as well as the control (distilled water) on the seed germination of Artemisia sieberi was determined. A significant difference was found among the treatments on germination rates. The seeds under the control and 5% concentration exhibited the highest germination percentage, while seeds under the 25% concentration showed the lowest germination percentage.
