Allelopathy is related to stresses of environment including soil nutrients deficiency. The plant allelochemicals changes the soil nutrients concentration. On the contrary, soil nutrients concentration also influences the concentration of plant allelochemicals. Since the relationship between plant allelopathy and nutrients concentration is complicated, research results are often not consistent. This paper reviews the studies done on this relationship.
