Insurance fraud

Private insurance, be it for life, health or accident and its evaluation when the claim is made by the insured or beneficiary may pose problem in distinguishing whether the claim is genuine or fraud. There is no one yardstick or gold standard for ascertaining the truthfulness of the claim. Here an attempt has been made to present the different types of insurance frauds perpetrated by the insured and certain guidelines that can be followed by the investigator in assessment of the claim.
