This review paper attempts to understand how migration and social movements influence the socio-economic mobility of people while the country is undergoing a rapid socio-economic change. The available literature suggests that migration has a greater contribution to the socio-economic mobility while social movements protect their rights. Despite the economic gain of migration which, in turn, extremely affects the personal interest of socio-political rights while the outcome of various movements are highly restricted with structural factors. This paper attempt to understand the issue by way of drawing attention to the concept of migration and social movements.
