Abstract

Reproductive rights are considered to be the human rights. The development of reproductive rights was during UN International conference on Human rights. Platform for Action stressed on sexuality and reproductive health. Medical Termination of Pregnancy was also made legal. The International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) in Cairo focused on reproductive health policy and programs. Its definition was adopted by all the countries. But the programs were limited with regard to the implementation. In India, several programs have come up with regard to reproductive health, National Rural Health Mission, Accredited Social Health Activists, RogiKalyana Samithi, National Ambulance Services.
