Abstract

More than 70% of Indian population lives in rural areas. Healthcare is the right of every individual but lack of quality infrastructure, dearth of qualified medical functionaries, non-access to basic medicines, medical facilities and lack of awareness among the people are the problems plaguing the rural population. Diseases such as TB, Malaria, Diarrhoea and Maternity deaths are still highly prevalent in rural parts of India. To combat these issues the Indian government as well as private sector have come up with various innovations and start-ups such as Swastha Bharath mobile application, ANMOL- ANM online tablet application, Remedinet Technology, Creihealth, Sugivisor, Cellscare, Konsult, Maya etc. among these healthcare indicatives, Health ATM is a concept which is emerging as a strong service provider which can stretch to large rural mass at a length. Even the government looking at the viability of Health ATM has started adapting the concept. This research paper is trying to explo the Health ATM concept and trying to highlight the concept for the benefit of the community.
