Abstract

This paper examines the role of Sanskrit language as vital for achieving national integration & solidarity. Indian nation with its impressive & diversified ethnicity has been a torch bearer because of its magnificent cultural heritage spread across centuries. Sanskrit language has been considered as the mother of all languages. It was honoured as the language of gods. Common man always feared to acquaint with this language for the fear of being mistreating & misuse. There have been numerous instances of Indian scholarship being the first and the original in complex scientific inventions, mathematical calculations, technical findings, astronomical sighting, bio -chemical detections, architectural structures, astrological development, medical science etc. But India was denied in claiming the top post in all these developments because this developmental information was stored in Sanskrit language which was not commonly understood14. Understanding & identifying this vital legacy and knowledge inheritance through this language is being debated through national language policy. Scholastic deliberations about considering Sanskrit as the national language are gearing up momentum because the solidarity and integration are at threat with all anti solidarity elements trying to breal up Indian nationality.
