This paper explored the need to reflect upon anti -corruption interventions towards empowering women and achieving gender equity. All the debates on women empowerment end up with prospective measures towards bringing in awareness gender equality and fairness, but the real problem of the empowerment process is corruption related issues which are hampering empowerment process. Women are highly vulnerable to the risks created by corruption and related activities. Several studies have shown that women face serious sexual & physical extortion in substitute for daily public needs. Global corruption barometer 2013 study reported that 22% of the women have paid bribe in one form or other. asymmetrical authority dynamics between men & women make women more vulnerable to the impact of corruption. Studies have shown that the Corruption in public services has limited the chances of women in society, economy, politics, culture and environmental sectors,.
