Abstract

At the outset the platform of social media has created a huge impact in our life, Social media is the collective of online communications channels dedicated to community-based input, interaction, content-sharing and collaboration. Social media can also be said as the websites and software's dedicated to forums, micro blogging, social networking and other utilitative ventures to make people's connections and business ventures easy. There are positive and negative effects of social media, amidst all the events there is a negative side of the use of technology which has an extreme adverse effect on life of women and children that ispseudo photograph. Pseudo photograph is a photographic image that has been digitally manipulated or stored. It is an image, whether made by computer-graphics or otherwise howsoever, which appears to be a photograph. Although the term pseudo-photograph can be applied regardless of what it depicts, in law its meaning is especially relevant regarding child pornography. In the UK, the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 amended the Protection of Children Act 1978 so as to define the concept of an “indecent pseudo-photograph of a child”. he intervention of this kind of software's was an fantasy of the perverted minds of the society who have deep interest to negatively project women and children. There are many women who are in fame and also who have no fame and leading a simple life are being affected by this technology.The Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Bill, 2012has shown a keen interest to protect the privacy of women who are being the victim of the indecent representation. The pseudo photograph which commonly called as child pornography is dealt by the Information Technology Act, 2000 under section 67(B).
