Abstract

This paper examines the structure and management of sports organizations in Karnataka. The structure and management of sports organizations is a much debated topic with sports activities and physical education becoming more and more popular across India. Sports have emerged as a youthful activity and India is a country with 65% youth population. Al sorts of sports activities are welcome in India. Sports is considered not only a recreational activity but also a professional career making support system. The youth are following sports activities and physical education activities with new zest and zeal and are aspiring to parallel global sporting records. Indian Youth aspire to become sports celebrities through increased participation in quality sports activities. They are demanding quality sports training equaling global standards. But with the increase in pleasure sports and recreational sports activities, sports organizations are facing several challenges at management and organization level. Sports organizations are challenged by issues such as efficient sports structural management, transparent sports finance management, appropriate sports coordination, resourceful sport media information management. There is a need for successful promotion used by sports organizations and properties.
