This paper explores the need for providing mass heritage conservation education to all the community stake holders and focuses on strategies for making the community accountable for retaining the values of heritage to the posterity. Heritage conservation provides several tangible benefits to the community such as increasing the property values in the region, enhancing the values of restored building and surrounding properties, increases chances of tourism and helping localities with small business around heritage centre. Heritage Conservation. A need for building resourceful engineering man power with heritage architecture knowledge is felt as an immediate necessity across the world. This can be achieved through Higher education sector too. Western countries have experimented with formal heritage conservation training and heritage education to community stake holders with success. Universities and higher educational Institutions can think of streamlining curriculum to ensemble heritage conservation content.
