This paper explores career prospects in retail management through higher education with special reference to Karnataka. Retail management is one of the new specializations in Management sector courses. There have been plenty of opportunities in retail management for youth. Retail Management has a new definition with internet crazy youth. It is establishing the network marketing by online shopping through social websites and other such technology electronic payments and delivery through the courier and other services. Retail Management has become a separate specialization subject of study in higher education sector. Retail Management as a process of promoting sales and customer satisfaction by using the retails methods and technology is attracting youth as colleges across India are giving new courses and curriculum for young aspirants. But there are challenges as well.Not all higher education Institutions across Karnataka are equipped with goof Management faculty and personnel. The job opportunities created by these colleges are not as expected.
