Abstract

The present research study was undertaken to compare availability and use of laboratory facility and achievement in science of 9th standard students in different schools of Tumkuru Taluk. This is a survey study.Researcher developed a tool to assess the availability and use of laboratory facilities at secondary schools. The achievement in science was assessed by consideration of marks obtained in science in mid- term examination. The result obtained from the statistical data analysis reveals that government high schools have better laboratory facility than aided and private unaided high schools and the students of government high schools had better achievement in science than Aided and Un-aided schools in Tumakuru Taluk.
