Control Objectives for Information and related technology (COBIT) provides good practices across a domain and process framework and presents activities in a manageable and logical structure (ITGI, 2007). Using Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) we examined the domains of COBIT in Mellat Bank. We analyzed the data in two different methods. The results of the study showed that three of COBIT domains - “Planning and Organizing”, “Acquisition and Implementation”, and “Delivery and Support” - were at the stage of “Defined Processes”. We also found that “Monitoring” was at the “Repeatable” stage of CMMI. Focusing on control processes related to “Monitoring” to improve this important part of COBIT domains is strongly advised.
