Abstract

Nowadays groundwater modeling has been promoted considerably, because despite numerous data, GIS provides a comprehensive environment for pre-and post-processing of information. This study is a good example of loose coupling between a hydrogeologic model and GIS. The whole data were processed in Arc View, to process sink data (well), geo-referenced grid was exported from PMWIN to Arc View in a DXF format, where well data could be summarized in the grid polygon. Finally by writing a Visual-basic program an understandable matrix could be created for PMWIN. Furthermore, modeling results can be exported to Arcview/GIS easily
