The Paper aims to provide some clarification about the USSR's invasion of Afghanistan. In addition to the fact that, did the USSR have a Grand Strategy in order to invade Afghanistan? Or did they confront any type of serious resistance in Afghanistan since the invasion? and what were they consequences of their invasion. Furthermore, the paper attempts to discuss the roots and the causes of the soviet's interference in Afghanistan
