Persian is an Iranian language within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European languages. It is widely spoken in Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and to some extent in Armenia and in Azerbaijan. Persian is a pluricentric language and its grammar is similar to that of many contemporary European languages.[1] The Persian language has been a medium for literary and scientific contributions to the eastern half of the Muslim world. [2] The purpose of this paper is to investigate about the structure of Persian verbs and their positions in Persian language. At first, we introduced the history of Persian language and then we went through the Persian language affiliation and declared some origins of this language. Also we mentioned some countries which get influenced of this language. In continue, we classified the Persian verbs into three parts same as most languages which include: past, present and future. Each part has some subgroups with different structures. According to the investigation which is done in this survey there are some considerable differences between the positions of verbs in Persian and English.
