Abstract

{The concept of rural development is often equated with anti poverty programme. But the rural development is a comprehensive programme of activities which include with agricultural growth. Development of social and economic infrastructure, fair wages, housing, public health, education, nutrition etc. The self help group approach is a best tool for not only remedy of poverty but for empowerment of women also}.
