The popularity of the Internet has grown dramatically over the last few years. The Internet is a source of information and intervention for people with sexual dysfunction. Mental health professionals worldwide are pioneering new services that offer to establish a therapeutic relationship over the Internet, sometimes on a fee basis. As more and more people integrate the Internet into their daily lives, mental health professionals can benefit by understanding how consumers are using the Internet as an information resource. Internet technology may increase the integrity and flexibility of prevention/intervention programs. In the past decade, various types of help through the internet have been developed for different psychological problems. Healthrelated websites are rising as the first source of information and provide self-help therapy for many people with psychological and physical problems. Self-help therapy is well known for a number of reasons. It is quite cheap and easily available to the visitors with sufficient knowledge. Moreover self-help solutions through the internet often avoid embarrassment, humiliation and being labeled. Such a treatment is regularly effective or at least more effective than the other types of self-help treatment. Finally, self-help therapy need not require an alternative decision to provide satisfaction. In nutshell frequently the use of self-help therapy through the internet as a potential treatment for psychological problem has been advocated. Authors conclude that selfhelp therapy through the internet may yield positive results for sexual dysfunctions.
