The violence against women in a family is in fact persecution. This violence has made life difficult for couples. As a witness, it influences children and youths. Apart from the auspices of world about violence against women, violence is an important factor for an Iranian society, which causes the family to break off. There are different theories about the reason of domestic violence. They are personal psychology and feminism. This research is according to “Lesool's Theory” (Sarokhni 1997; Khazenou 1988) that intends to answer five important questions:
1. The characteristics of violator?(Who).
2. The characteristics of victim victims? (Whom).
3. How do they exert farce? (How)
4. They are as follows: Physical abuse, verbal abuse, Psychological abuse, emotional abuse economical abuse and social abuse.
5. The reason of using force against women (Why).
6. The result of using force against women (With what effects).
This research is exclusively for women from the state of Mazandaran who live in Neka, Sari, Ghaemshahr, Babol, Noor and Tonekabon (north of Iran). We use Stratified sampling Method to determine the sample. For collecting data, the unit Analysis is used according to person the questionnaire instrument. Descriptive statistics is used for analyzing data.
