Abstract

The present study was aimed to investigate the susceptibility to psychosomatic disorders in delinquent juveniles. This study was a descriptive study with ex.post facto design. Using a random sampling technique 283 (consists of 144 normal and 139 delinquent) adolescents were selected for the purpose of this study. The Short Interpersonal Reactions Inventory (SIRI) developed by GrossarthMaticek and Eyesenk, (1990) was used to collect the data. Result showed that comparing to normal juveniles; delinquents had more scores on symptoms of psychosomatic disorders such as Cancer prone, CHD prone, Psychopathic behavior, Healthy personality and Addiction prone. (p < 0.001), but the pattern of depression was similar between two groups.
