The main purpose of the in attendance study is to find out the role of gender in irrational believes of cancer patients in Iran.
The used method in this study is descriptive which carried out on a sample of 132 Cancer patients, aged 18 –58 years, whom submited to the Shahidzade hospital of behbahan in Iran. Irrational believes was measured with the Shortened General Attitude and Belief Scale (SGABS) and concerning to the hypothesis of the study, two independent sample T test is used to analyze the data.
The analysis of data by using of spss recommended that there is no significant differences between irrational believes of male and female of cancer patients [T =.84, P >.01]. More over there is no significant differences between males and females in these variables.
According to analyzed results, the average scores of males and females patients with Cancer are more than normal Range and it is recommended that these groups of patients should be prepared in counseling sessions.
