Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine Iranian schools and universities teachers’ attitudes and beliefs towards using Educational technology through metaanalysis. This paper will contribute to the body of knowledge regarding to the studies on Obstacles in Using Educational Technology in the process of teaching and learning in the Educational System of Iran. An extensive search for relevant published and unpublished studies found 55 studies from 1993 to 2009. 13 research studies with inferential statistics were chosen. The results indicated that negative attitude and the lack of belief had a great influence on not using educational technology and it was a big obstacle for using it. The findings suggest that the use of educational technology should be given greater consideration than it currently receives in the teaching and learning process.
