Food security refers to the availability of food and one's access to it. A household is considered food secure when its occupants do not live in hunger or fear of starvation. As per the study conducted by world resource Institute, the global per capita food production has been increasing substantially for the past several decades. Food security exists when all people at all times, have physical, Social and economic access to sufficient, safe and nutrition food to meet their dietary need and food preferences for an active and healthy life. Food security for a household means access by all members at all times to enough food for an active, healthy life. The 2020 vision of international Food Policy Research Institute describes “food security for all as a world where every person has access of sufficient food to sustain a healthy and productive life, where malnutrition is absent, and where food originates food efficient, effective and low cost food systems that are compatible with sustainable use of natural resources”. The attempt has been made in this paper to analyze the Growth of Population and Food Security in Mysore District
