Assessment of water quality of Kharghab river in Khonsar city Iran, with reference to physico-chemical parameters and presence of heavy metals

The present study was undertaken to assess the physico-chemical parameters and presence of a few heavy metals in the waters of Kharghab river flowing through Khonsar City, Iran. The results of 3 sites studied between the period of October 2011 and September 2012 are reported in this paper. Some of the parameters studied were temperature, electrical conductivity, pH, TDS, total hardenss, DO, COD and heavy metals such as Cd, Cr, Fe.
