Abstract

Good governance is a definitive objective of any state. Good governance is about giving an efficient and effective administration that is focused on enhancing the satisfaction and quality of life of the general population. It is about what people anticipate from the administration and the readiness and capacity of the administration to satisfy their desires and expectations. The 21st century has seen the data innovation and computerized correspondence innovation, which in turn has brought about an outlook change in the people's desires and expectation from governments. Data innovation or information technology can decrease delays, ensure efficient delivery of public services, cut down corruption and rearranging administrative procedures advances good governance. In this way, government offices are additionally utilizing data innovation for administrative convenience. In modern times, administration is extremely close to techno friendly aiming at smart governance and e-governance. This article sheds the role of ICTs in different e-governance initiatives particularly in Karnataka
