Communicative and pragmatic functions of segmented structures

The segmented sentences formed as a result of segmentation are different from the usual sentences formed by linking. The difference is in their pragmatic meaning and structural structure. In both cases, the same information is given, but in segmented sentences, in contrast to the syntactic units formed by the connection, expressiveness, the attitude of the speaker, is also expressed. The function of segment devices, their specific features are reflected in the text. What such devices mean, and for what purpose, is made clear in context. Context and speech situation form the basis of pragmatic research. There will be a need for pragmatics where the speech situation or context is needed for the proposition to be understood by the speakers. In this respect, segmented sentences are the object of study of pragmatics. The article discusses the pragmatic features of segment devices.
