The subject and content of stylistics as a science of language has not yet been precisely defined, therefore, stylistic problems are attracting more and more attention of linguists, philologists and other specialists. With this regard, this article discusses some matters on stylistics as a science of a language and some points by linguists on how it became one of the main devices in literature.
