The development and rise of crafts and trade in Termez in the IX-XII centuries

Abstract

Termez was the largest handicraft center in Central Asia. The most developed branch of urban craft was pottery. The products of Termez potters are of high quality, finish and variety of types. The pottery masters drew a beautiful pattern based on the shape of the vessel. The artistic technology of Tokharistan has its own characteristics in comparison with other regions in the production of products from metal, ceramics, glass. Two bronze mirrors of the 11th-12th centuries found in the city of Termez are of artistic importance in comparison with other finds.
