Abstract

This article describes the interpretation of architectural projects as an object of copyright protection on the basis of foreign experience, puts forward practical proposals for the protection of works of architectural art. Students of the National Institute of Art and Design named after Kamoliddin Behzod under the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan are taught subjects in the field of intellectual property; it was reported that the institute teaches architectural design in the field of “interior design” as an object of copyright. The article argues that sketches of multi-storey houses are architectural projects, and the rights of the author who created them are protected by law. An example is the case of the Court of Intellectual Property Rights of the Russian Federation, which allows architectural, urban planning and park-building projects to be implemented only once in practice; it was argued that the author's consent should be required to reproduce the work. It was suggested that the national courts of Uzbekistan should systematically post cases on intellectual property disputes on their websites.
