Abstract

Leather and fur production has gone through a long evolutionary path of development over millennia, turning into a powerful modern industry. The quality of the fur and leather semifinished product and the competitiveness of the fur and leather products made from it directly depend on the preparatory processes, dressing and finishing. In the technology of leather and fur, a wide range of chemical materials is used from the initial stages of processing to the final stage of finishing. Chemical materials used in the processing of fur and leather skins can significantly affect the formation of the quality of a semi-finished product, in particular, on such indicators as the mass of fur and leather, plasticity and strength of leather tissue, splendor, heat resistance and abrasion of the hairline, hygienic properties.
