In modern Uzbek prose there are various symbols, methodological innovations, experimental experiments. Khurshid Dostmuhammad is one of the writers who strive for such methodological innovations in his work. The article analyzes the nature, character traits and inner world of the protagonists of Khurshid Dostmuhammad's "Road to Silence" and the Italian writer Dino Butsatti's "Seven Floors" in a comparative-typological way. The spiritual world of the East and the West was illuminated on the example of the images of Zahid Yakin and Dino Corte.
